Off to a running WALKING Start

As we are in a beautiful Minnesota Fall, we are taking stutter steps in different areas of our lives. The care-fulness we have lived in through well over a year looked to be melting away in the summer. So much of our lives were getting back.

As the fall weather, trees and colors progress as we would expect, the season and atmosphere around Covid is proving unpredictable. We are asked to be more careful again, in church, in schools and in many areas of our lives.

We had our rally-day kick off to mark the beginning of Fall Church activities. Our Chancel Choir began to meet and practice and then put rehearsals on hold.. Many of our church activities have begun but in altered ways. We have Sunday School either online (at 9 a.m.) or in person (at 10:45) for kids. Instead of a variety of Wednesday Night suppers, we have simple pizzas delivered each Wednesday night. Our Confirmation class has plexiglass everywhere.

Oh, I could go on and on about the life adjustments. You could certainly make a list, and another, and another…about all of the other careful ways you walk in life.

Through all of this care-ful living, I invite you to consider one area of your life to hold steadfast and even boldly: “…Let us approach the throne of grace boldly so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” ~Hebrews 4:16

Through all the careful ways we live, we may have to be creative about how we hold the grace of God boldly. Our need for God’s grace is proving more and more evident each day.

God sent Jesus so that we — each of us “may have LIFE and have it abundantly”. ~John 10:10 Among all the circumstances pressing upon you and your life, how are you letting Jesus bless you with an abundant life NOW? How are you letting God’s Holy Spirit speak in your thoughts, into your actions, into your dreams and even mundane plans NOW?

Through and around all of the disruptions, frustrations and adjustments in your life right now…may you be blessed. May you be truly blessed right now to boldly hold and share the grace of God right now. May you be blessed to have a Christ-Filled…a FULL-Filled life…    …NOW!

May you be Blessed to be a Blessing!

Yours in Christ,

Rhodie
