From the Pastor: Sharing God’s Love

Jesus tells us to Love God…”Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; Jesus tells us that his is what it is all about: “and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'”

It is something so good to take this into our minds, to take it into our hearts and believe it. It is something to behold when we see it lived out.

Through gracious, guiding hands, kids were taught to make cards of encouragement for others. Kids drew sunshines (yes, that’s a word), they drew flowers and puppies and kittens. Kids drew messages of grace and strength: “God loves you!”…”Feel Better!”

I saw the kids make these cards one day and then saw one of the cards bless a whole family the next. There, in a very dark time for a family, in a time of crisis, stood a handmade, kid-made card as a testament of God’s care and love. The family beheld this card and they beheld the reminder of God’s love.

When we live out God’s love for others, oh my! I invite you to notice; t look for the love of God through others and to see how God is mightily at work in this world. I invite you to let God’s love and grace flow through you in surprising ways too!

God Bless You!

In Christ,

Rhodie
